A Sickly Cheese: An update and upcoming Q&A

Hello all! So there’ll be no post or videos this week (as you may already have noticed) since I’ve frankly been feeling like absolute crap this week and I think I need a little down time to really recover. But not to worry, I’ll be continuing with my usual schedule next week.

Also, soon I’ll be doing a Q&A as I’ve been seeing a lot of people recently talking about the difficulties of breaking into the industry and seeing as I’ve been there, I completely understand and would like to help in any way I can. Also, to be honest, I’ve been noticing more and more that most people really don’t know much about how game development works (which is totally to be expected considering it’s not a transparent process at all). So if you have any questions about breaking into the industry or just about games development in general, just leave them in the comments below or email me at cheeesetoastie555@gmail.com and I’ll pick a few and do my best to answer them!

  1. Feel better, Sam! It always sucks to be sick. To throw out a question for your blog post, what would you say is a common misconception about breaking into the video games industry?

    • Thanks! I’m feeling a lot better now. :) I’m definitely glad I took a sick day. It made all the difference!
Great question! There’s quite a few things I could say on that point. I’ll definitely be sure to include it in my post. :)

  2. I second simpleek in saying “get well!” As for a question: There tends to be a lot of negativity surrounding the industry, but what really good thing(s) have you discovered about it?

    • Thank you! And I’m really glad you asked that question! Considering how much negativity I often see about the industry and sometimes experience, it’s nice to sit back and reflect on all the awesome parts of it too, of which there are many! I think people tend to forget that sometimes.
